As well as maximizing the level of fun, my approach to teaching is rooted in never-ending kindness and respect for humans, especially for children as they navigate the cycle of learning and growing. It's my favorite compliment to hear my students raving about how kind they think I am:)
And isn't it just perfect, how children's natural appreciation for being treated nicely is something that also leads to greater success in language learning!
Because when children are treated kindly, they feel respected, and when they feel respected, they feel safe. When they feel safe, they become comfortable, and when they feel comfortable, only then does it become possible for them to grow the confidence needed to progress towards excellent English skills.

✿ 4 years of studying Elementary Education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and 1 life-changing year abroad at the University of Malta
In Brno:
✿ 3 years as an English teacher at a local kindergarten and 1 year at a local primary school
✿ 3+ years teaching individual and group English lessons
Hi, I'm Zayda!
Even after five years, I feel beyond lucky that I get to be an English teacher in Brno! My teaching journey began all the way back in the United States, as a seventeen year old student teacher in a school-to-career program.
As a teenager, many of my summers on Nantucket Island included volunteering to help children and create an atmosphere of joy. As a basketball coach, a nurses' assistant, a babysitter for my dozens of little cousins, I loved and still love getting to smile and laugh all day at the silly things children say!

I po pěti letech cítím štěstí, že se mohu stát učitelem angličtiny v Brně! Moje učitelská cesta začala až ve Spojených státech jako sedmnáctiletá studentka učitele v programu od školy ke kariéře.
Když jsem byl teenager, mnoho z mých letních pobytů na ostrově Nantucket zahrnovalo dobrovolnictví pomáhat dětem a vytvářet atmosféru radosti. Jako basketbalový trenér, asistent zdravotních sester, chůva mých desítek malých sestřenic jsem miloval a stále miluji, když se můžu celý den smát a smát těm hloupým věcem, které děti říkají!
